How we handle your data

This is a plain-language summary while Ludoran is in pilot. A formal version will replace it before wider release.

What is stored

For lecturers: your name, email address and a securely hashed password, and the classes, plans, quizzes and results you create. For students: the student ID used to sign in, a display name if your lecturer provides one, a securely hashed PIN if you set one, and what you do in class: attendance, answers, votes, points, notes, docs and ratings.

If you press Get started

We keep the name, email address, organisation and (if you give them) role and message you send, and when you agreed to be contacted. We only use them to contact you about Ludoran and to send you an invite code. Only the site's administrators see them. We delete them 12 months after they last changed, or sooner if you ask the person who runs your class or this site.

Where it is stored

On the server the classes run on. It is not sold, rented or shared for advertising, and there is no third-party tracking or advertising on the site.

Ask Ludo

Ask Ludo is optional and off unless a lecturer turns it on. When students use it, the question and the text of the current class step (and, when they ask for feedback, the text of their doc) are sent to Anthropic's API to produce an answer. Lecturers can see the questions asked in their class.

Your choices

Students can choose whether classmates see them in the attendee list. Lecturers can export, correct or delete class data at any time. For anything else, contact the person who runs your class or this site.

Cookies

We use only the cookies the site needs to work, and no advertising or tracking cookies. See the cookie policy.
